Automotive Engineering Centre, UMP successfully organized ‟The 4th International Conference on Automotive Innovation and Green Energy Vehicle (AiGEV 2020) on 10th and 11th November 2020 at library of Universiti Malaysia Pahang, Pekan campus, Pahang. It was broadcasted virtually due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. 

This conference is a platform for researchers involving academicians, postgraduate students, professionals and industries to present research papers related to the latest technologies. The aim of the conference is to further enhance the research in the fields of green technology engineering, transportation, security, products and services.

The ceremony was officiated by Ts. Dr. Mohd Razali Hanipah as a Director of Automotive Engineering Centre, UMP. The Keynote Speakers invited were Professor Dr. Abdul Rashid Abdul Aziz, Director of the Institute of Transport Infrastructure (ITI), Universiti Teknologi Petronas and Professor Ts. Ir. Dr. Saiful Amri Mazlan, Professor, Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIT), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur.

AiGEV2020 was attended by a total of 36 participants from various universities, research and training centres from local and international universities as well as industries. Among international participants involved were Kasetsart University, Thailand, University of Indonesia, Muhammadiyah University Jakarta, Christ College of Engineering and Technology, India and Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal India. Meanwhile, participant from the industry was from Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Sdn Bhd (PROTON). This conference was also in collaboration with University College TATI (UC TATI) and sponsored by Taat Bistari Sdn. Bhd.

All accepted paper have been published in International Journal of Automotive and Mechanical Engineering (IJAME) and IOP Conference Series : Material Science and Engineering (Volume 1068).

Automotive Engineering Centre hopes that with the success of this conference, Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) will be one of the best universities known in automotive engineering and green technology fields, and thus, creates a strong academic network among researchers in Malaysia and abroad to become a global technology transfer platform.
