AEC SUCCEEDS IN THE ORGANISATION OF ITS third INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE: AUTOMOTIVE INNOVATION AND GREEN ENERGY VEHICLE (AiGEV 2018)

 

Automotive Engineering Centre (AEC) Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) has successfully organised the third Automotive Innovation And Green Energy Vehicle Conference (AiGEV 2018) from 25th to 26th July 2018 at Seri Manja Boutique Hotel Kuantan Pahang, Malaysia. The conference involved scholars and professionals in the field of green technology mechanical and automotive engineering with the aim to promote research in automotive engineering at national and international levels. 

This conference provided opportunities to researchers from institutes of higher education, research and development organisations related to the field of automotive engineering and green technology to present and publish their research findings in line with National Automotive Policy 2014 which seeks to develop and increase competetiveness in automotive field in Malaysia.

The 3rd AiGEV 2018 Organising Committee cordially invites submissions of high quality research papers reporting original work on, but not limited to, the following topics of interest:

The officiating event was carried out by Automotive Engineering Centre Director, Associate Professor Dr. Abdul Adam Abdullah and was also attended by Professor Ir. Dr. Azhar Dato’ Abdul Aziz (Universiti Teknologi Malaysia) and Professor Dr. Horizon Walker Gitano-Briggs (Focus Applied Technologies) were keynote speakers for the conference.

The conference has attracted 68 local and international participants as well as industries which also presented their research paperwork. Among international participants involved were University of Meiji (Japan), Baghdad Institute Middle Technology University (Iraq), University of Ulsan (South Korea), Prince of Songkla University (Thailand) Institut Sains & Technology Akprind Yogyakarta (Indonesia) and Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University (Iraq).

AEC ORGANISES ITS FIRST INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON GREEN TECHNOLOGY(AiGEV2014)

 

26 August 2014 - For the first time, Automotive Engineering Centre has organised the International Conference on Automotive Innovation and Green Energy Vehicle (AiGEV2014). The conference which was co-organized by Malaysia Automotive Institute (MAI), Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (PERODUA)and East Coast Economic Region Development Council (ECERDC) was held at Swiss Garden Resort & Spa, Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia from 26 - 27 August 2014.

AiGEV was organised with the aim of promoting automotive engineering at national and international levels.

This conference provided the opportunity to researchers from institutes of higher education, relevant research and development organizations to present and publish their research findings. The main theme of this conference was Automotive Innovation and Green Energy Vehicle. This conference successfully attracted 200 local and international participants and also industries presenting their research paper works. Besides that, there was an exhibition on green technology which involved student clubs and industries like UMP Mechapro, Dewetron Prt Ltd and ECERDC, PNT Marketing, Precision Laser Solutions Co. Ltd., Keysight Technologies Sdn Bhd, Focus Applied Technologies and Mypartner Sdn Bhd.

The conference was inaugurated by UMP Vice Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Dr. Daing Nasir Ibrahim and attended by ECERDC Chief Executive Officer, Dato' Jebasingam Issace John, while the Managing Director of PERODUA Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh and the Chief Executive Officer of MAI, Mohammad Madani Sahari were also there to deliver keynote speeches during the conference. Also presenting paper works were Professor Dr. Ing. Maurice Kettner from Karlsruhe University of Applied Science, Germany and Professor Dr. Viswanatha Sharma Korada from Universiti Teknologi Petronas.

AEC hopes with the success of the first conference, many more conferences will be successfully organised in the future.

AEC SUCCEEDS IN THE ORGANISATION OF ITS SECOND INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE: AUTOMOTIVE INNOVATION AND GREEN ENERGY VEHICLE (AiGEV 2016)

 

Automotive Engineering Centre (AEC) has successfully organised the second Automotive Innovation And Green Energy Vehicle Conference (AiGEV 2016) from 2nd to 3rd August 2016 at the Malaysia Automotive Institute (MAI) Cyberjaya, Selangor. The conference which was co-organised with Malaysia Automotive Institute (MAI) and DRB-HICOM University of Automotive Malaysia (DHU) involved scholars and professionals in the field of green technology mechanical and automotive engineering with the aim to promote research in automotive engineering at national and international levels.  

This conference provided opportunities to researchers from institutes of higher education, research and development organisations related to the field of automotive engineering and green technology to present and publish their research findings in line with National Automotive Policy 2014 which seeks to develop and increase competetiveness in automotive field in Malaysia.

The officiating event was carried out by MAI Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Mohamad Madani Sahari and was also attended by UMP Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International), Professor Dato’ Dr. Rosli Mohd Yunus President of Malaysia Automotive Association (MAA), Datuk Aishah Ahmad; DRB-HICOM University Of Automotive Malaysia (DHU) Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Garry James Clayton; Prof. Dr. Masjuki Haji Hassan (Universiti Malaya) and Professor Dr. Abd Rashid Abd Aziz (Universiti Teknologi Petronas) were keynote speakers for the conference.

The conference has attracted 115 local and international participants as well as industries which also presented their research paperwork. Among international participants involved were University of Paderborn (Germany), Nanyang University (Singapura), Indonesian Institute of Sciences (Indonesia), Eindhoven University of Technology (Netherlands) and Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (South Africa).

AEC hopes that with the success of this second conference, Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) will be one of the best universities known in automotive engineering and green technology fields, and thus, creates a strong academic network among researchers in Malaysia and overseas.

CENTRE FOR AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING SUCCESSFULLY ORGANIZED THE 5TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON AUTOMOTIVE INNOVATION AND GREEN ENERGY VEHICLE 2022 (AiGEV 2022)

 

Centre for Automotive Engineering (Automotive Centre) successfully organized "The 5th International Conference on Automotive Innovation and Green Energy Vehicle 2022 (AiGEV 2022) on December 5, 2022 at the Holiday Villa Beach resort & Spa, Langkawi, Kedah. This conference involves academics, postgraduate students, professionals and industry members that played as a platform for researchers to present papers related to the latest technologies and further enhance research in the field of green technology engineering, transport, security, products and services.

The opening ceremony was completed by Ir. Dr. Zamri bin Mohamed as the Director of Automotive Centre, UMP. The Keynote Speakers who has been invited is Mr. Huzaimi Nor Bin Omar as the Chief Operating Officer for Green EV Charge Sdn Bhd and the Advisory Panel (Mobility) for Malaysia Green Technology Corporation as well as Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Hamzah Bin Ahmad from the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology, Universiti Malaysia Pahang also functions as the Acting Chief Executive Officer, UMP Advanced.

International Conference AiGEV 2022 has involved a total of 61 participants from various universities, research centers and industries from local and abroad. Among the foreign participants involved are from Naresuan University, Thailand, Universiti Teknologi Brunei, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Kashmir India and Meiji University, Tokyo Japan. While participants from industry are from the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) and Syarikat Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn. Bhd. (MODENAS).

A total of 10 participants were awarded as Best Paper Winners, namely participants from Heriot-Watt University, Universiti Teknikal Melaka (UTEM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) and Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP).

All accepted paper have been published in International Journal of Automotive and Mechanical Engineering (IJAME) and AIP Conference Proceedings (Volume 2998).

Automotive Centre hopes that by organizing this conference, Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) will become a leader in research and innovation in the field of green technology engineering, and create a strong academic network among researchers in Malaysia and abroad, further becoming a technology transfer platform globally.
